About Reverse Audio

Reversing plays a recording end to beginning. It is used for effects, for building risers and transitions in music, and occasionally for listening back to a passage from the other direction.

How to use it

  1. Load the audio file.
  2. Reverse it.
  3. Download the reversed recording.

Worth knowing

Reversal is exact and lossless in principle: reversing twice returns the original order. The re-encode on export is what costs a little quality, not the reversal itself.

Common questions

Will speech be understandable?
No. Reversed speech is unintelligible, which is precisely why it is used as an effect.
Does it work on long files?
Yes, but the whole recording has to be held in order to write it backwards, so long files need more memory.
