About Remove Background
Cutting a subject out of its background is the slowest job in basic image editing when done by hand. Automatic removal finds the edge of the subject and drops everything behind it, leaving a transparent cut-out you can place on any color.
How to use it

Worth knowing
Clear separation between subject and background gives the best edge. Fine detail — loose hair, fur, glass, chain-link — is where automatic cut-outs are least convincing.
Common questions
- Which format should I save?
- PNG or WEBP. JPG has no transparency, so a JPG export fills the removed area with solid color.
- Can I use it for product photos?
- Yes — a plain, evenly lit background is close to ideal for this.
