Image Rotator
Correct orientation or add a creative spin to your photos.
or drag & drop hereAbout Rotate Image
Photographs taken with the camera turned sideways often display rotated, because orientation is recorded as a tag some software ignores. Rotating in quarter turns writes the correct orientation into the image itself.
How to use it
- Upload the image that is the wrong way up.
- Rotate by 90°, 180° or 270°.
- Download the corrected image.
Worth knowing
Quarter turns are lossless in principle — no pixels are resampled, only rearranged. A 90 or 270 degree turn swaps width and height, so a landscape photo becomes portrait.
Common questions
- Why does it look right on my phone but wrong elsewhere?
- Your phone is honouring the orientation tag and the other program is not.
- Can I straighten a slightly tilted photo?
- Not here — this handles quarter turns, which is what orientation problems need.
